TREDT 2027 unfolds across three days of plenary lectures, thematic panels, paper sessions, and the Early Career Forum.

The opening day frames the conceptual landscape of the conference and introduces the central tensions explored throughout the programme.
Day 3
23 January 2027

Synthesis & Closing

  • Final paper sessions

  • Roundtable: future directions
  • Closing remarks and farewell
The closing day synthesizes the conversations of the previous days and opens questions for future scholarship and collaboration.
Programme Formats

What to expect

TREDT 2027 combines traditional academic formats with the flexibility of an online conference. All sessions take place via Zoom in real time.

Plenary Lectures

Extended keynote presentations by leading scholars, followed by moderated discussion. All conference participants attend plenary sessions together.

Paper Sessions

Twenty-minute presentations followed by ten to fifteen minutes of discussion. Multiple parallel sessions allow participants to follow their research interests.

Thematic Panels

Ninety-minute panel sessions with three to four conceptually connected presentations and a moderating chair, ending with collective discussion.

Early Career Forum

A supportive space for PhD candidates and advanced MA students to present ongoing research with structured feedback from senior scholars and peers.

Q&A and Discussion

Every session includes dedicated time for questions, comments, and dialogue, both through Zoom chat and live audio participation.

Multilingual Sessions

Contributions in English, German, Turkish, Arabic, and Indonesian. Simultaneous translation into English is provided for all sessions.

Provisional Programme

Following the notification of acceptance on 30 October 2026, the provisional programme — with confirmed sessions, panels, and authors — will be published.

December 2026

Detailed Programme

Full programme with session times, paper abstracts, chair assignments, and Zoom links for each track will be made available to registered participants.

Mid-January 2027

Final Programme

The final programme, including any late adjustments, technical access details, and participant guidelines, is distributed one week before the conference opens.
